Introduction
GLOSSOLALIA has recently been revamped--again! The various sections are now as follows.
The videos in the GLOSSOLALIA VIDEO section are either standalone works, or videos for tracks from BLACK SAIL. All videos were made in collaboration with Ashley Howe.
Below the video section, you will find GLOSSOLALIA AUDIO, which contains six albums:
i. BLACK SAIL, an ongoing album of electro-poetics. Electro-poetics involves combining oral recitation with digitally manipulated instrumentation, field recordings, and appropriated material. GLOSSOLALIA is grateful to all the poets who've lent their words and voices to the project.
ii. SERENGETI, a sonic map of a strange world I discovered.
iii. SOUND WORLDS, an album of sound art that draws inspiration from ambient, noise, experimental, and modernist music. BLACK SAIL tracks also claim this influence, the difference is that BLACK SAIL tracks include orated poetry while SOUND WORLDS tracks do not.
iv. autobiography, an album of sound art distinguished from SOUND WORLDS by longer, more chaotic compositions, and a more personal slant.
v. DEPRESSIVE ETUDES, an album of digitally treated piano improvisations and minimal electronics.
vi. SECRET POP, a collection of remixes, curios, and loose ends.
GLOSSOLALIA is an audio/visual companion to the text-based poetry project, F7. Both projects involve the conceptual organization of technologically and procedurally mediated material; both are concerned with moving this material across different media; both exploit the tension between determined and chance operations. Some selections from F7 available online are linked in the right margin of this page.
There is no cost for streaming or downloading GLOSSOLALIA creations from this page, which will continue to be updated with new mixes and videos as they are completed.
GLOSSOLALIA may be contacted at brian.g.howe@gmail.com.
The creative, non-commercial re-use of GLOSSOLALIA materials is avidly encouraged.

Glossolalia audio
The laureled clairvoyants tell our doom in riddles. Sewn in our robes are horrid tales, and the speakers-in-tongues enounce atrocious tidings. The prophet-birds seem to speak sagely, but are shrieking their frustration. The senselessest babble, could we ken it, might disclose a dark message, or prayer.
